About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support Group Finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This role will primarily focus on Group consolidation, audit coordination, tax compliance, and financial reporting, while also supporting day-to-day accounting operations and process improvements.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in multi-entity consolidation, familiarity with Xero, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, auditors, service providers, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Group consolidated financial statements and management reports
- Perform intercompany reconciliation, elimination entries, and consolidation adjustments across multiple entities
- Coordinate with overseas finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting submissions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting at Group level
- Maintain and improve consolidation schedules and reporting processes
Accounting & Finance Operations
- Handle full set of accounts for Singapore and/or assigned entities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and fixed assets
- Review AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with SFRS/IFRS and company policies
- Support treasury and banking matters where required
Audit & Tax
- Lead and coordinate annual external audits and statutory financial reporting across Group entities
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, and regulatory authorities
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and responses to audit queries
- Ensure timely and accurate GST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and other statutory filings
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations and assess impacts to the Group
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, financial controls, and reporting workflows
- Ensure proper use and governance of Xero and related finance systems
- Support implementation of process automation and standardization across entities
- Assist in finance-related projects and ad hoc assignments as required
