Our client is a leading wholesaler in Singapore, supplying over 400 varieties of premium fruits and vegetables to hotels, restaurants, and retailers. The Finance Accountant holds a key role in overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within an organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, expense reports, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making and financial planning processes.
- Reconcile accounts, oversee general ledger postings, and ensure accuracy in financial data and entries.
- Assist in tax preparation, filing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial laws.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors.
- Conduct financial analysis, assess trends, and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor expenses, review expense reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, or efficiency improvements within the accounting function.
- Mentor and train team members, oversee their work, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (advanced degree or CPA qualification preferred)
- Possess at least 5 years of full spectrum finance work related experiences
- Proficiency in ERP systems & Dynamics 365
