Job Description

Summary of the Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the role is responsible for supporting Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), month-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims and payment requests, ensuring proper approvals and timely payments.
  • Prepare customer invoices, monitor collections, follow up on outstanding balances and maintain AR ageing reports.
  • Perform AP, AR, bank, fixed assets and General Ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Maintain accounting records, journals and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules, expenses tracker, GST returns, statutory submissions, financial statements and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain vendor, customer and chart of accounts master data within the accounting system.
  • Support cash flow monitoring, payment runs and treasury-related activities.
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, customers and outsourced service providers to resolve finance-related queries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements and ad-hoc projects assigned by Management.

What You'll Need:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA or related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in AP, AR, General Ledger or full-set accounting.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
