Job Description

1. Reporting Officer

You will report to the General Manager for all matters relevant to this role.

2. Duties

i. Financial Management

a) Manage and maintain full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Fixed Assets Register.

b) Provide accounting assistance to programmes and support staff, responds to financial questions/concerns to meet organisational needs.

c) Perform month-end and year-end close, ensure accuracy of management accounts and financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and compliance to internal policies.

d) Prepare and submit ad hoc financial reports as required on a timely basis.

e) Support annual budget exercise.

f) Support midyear review exercise.

ii. Internal / Special / Statutory Audit

a) Assist with audit exercises as required.

b) Manage audits including schedules preparation and liaising with external auditor.

iii. Internal Controls and Compliance

a) Ensure compliance with internal controls, polices and processes for the accounting function and exercise enforcement as appropriate.

b) Ensure compliance with accounting standards.

c) Review and recommend improvements in accounting systems and procedures.

iv. Grant Management

a) Support the General Manager in managing grants from various funders, including reporting timelines, requirements and coordination with programme teams.

b) Collate needs from families overseen by Tasek for possible sponsorship or donation opportunities.

c) Assist with disbursement and tracking of sponsored items to youth and families.

v. Office Administration

a) Support office administration work, when required.

3. Job Requirements

a) ACCA/CA/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.

b) Minimum 2-3 years of financial accounting experience in charity accounting.

c) Proficient in MS Office and accounting software such as Xero.

d) Good writing skills for case management and comfortable with data collation for reporting purposes.

e) Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

f) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

g) Open to working irregular hours to cater to needs of programme teams.
