Senior Fellow for Cyber Power and Future Conflict

The IISS, a leading global authority on geopolitics, defence and security policy, and geo-economics, is seeking to appoint a Senior Fellow for Cyber Power and Future Conflict, to lead and advance our research programme in this area.
The CPFC programme examines the global implications of cyber technology and cyber-adjacent advanced technologies for national power, strategic competition and future conflict. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in their field to deliver in-depth and policy-relevant research. The candidate will report to the Executive Director of IISS-Asia and the Director for Defence, Technology and Future Conflict, and will work closely across the IISS international offices.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management of the IISS Cyber Power and Future Conflict programme activities and team, including through effective mentorship and develop of junior staff.
- Engage in original, authoritative research and produce written output for IISS publications and consultancy products throughout the year.
- Deliver IISS outward-facing activity on cyber and cyber-adjacent advanced technologies and their strategic implications for future conflict, including organisation of and participation in IISS events in Singapore and beyond, as well as contributions to corporate advisory services.
- Work collaboratively across IISS research programmes, including engagement in cross-Institute fundraising activities.

Requirements
- Strong background in cyber and advanced technologies in defence, government and/or commercially. - Strong track record of policy research, methodological approaches and policy-relevant publications. - Professional writing skills.
- Experience in team management.
- Ease with international travel.
Remuneration
- Salary will be competitive and commensurate with knowledge and skills. The IISS provides a full employment package.
