The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of critical facilities, including Data Centres and Airport Infrastructure. The role ensures the highest standards of operational reliability, safety, compliance, and service delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will support business growth by identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to the expansion of facilities management services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Facilities Managers, Engineers, and service providers to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of critical facilities.
Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal facility performance and uptime.
Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for all facility-related operational matters.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and process optimisation.
Review, analyse, and report operational incidents, maintenance performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Provide leadership in project planning, execution, and delivery for maintenance, upgrading, and infrastructure enhancement projects.
Monitor facility budgets, maintenance contracts, vendor performance, and resource utilisation.
Ensure competency development and technical capability enhancement of the facilities management team.
Support and drive business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, participating in client presentations, and expanding service offerings within the airport and data centre sectors.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and industry partners.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant working experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, or infrastructure projects, preferably within Airport or Data Centre environments.
Proven experience managing critical facilities, including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, and environmental monitoring systems.
Strong knowledge of Data Centre and/or Airport facilities operations, maintenance management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Demonstrated experience in project management, facilities operations, contract management, and vendor management.
Proven track record in business development, client engagement, and identifying growth opportunities within facilities management services.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong safety mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
Able to travel as required for project and business development activities.
