Senior Facilities Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall management, operation, and maintenance of company facilities to ensure safe, reliable, hygienic, and efficient infrastructure that supports business operations. This role oversees facilities maintenance, utilities, building systems, service vendors, and site wide pest control, ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
The role works closely various stakeholders to maintain a functional, secure, and well managed workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
. Manage daily operation and maintenance of buildings, utilities, and infrastructure, including, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems.
. Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
. Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
. Maintain facilities asset registers, drawings, and technical documentation.
Building & Infrastructure Management
. Oversee offices, production support areas, warehouses, utilities rooms, and common areas to ensure functionality, and readiness.
. Manage renovations, and minor construction works.
. Ensure facilities infrastructure supports business growth and operational requirements.
Pest Control & Facilities Hygiene Management
. Own and manage site wide pest control programs as part of facilities management, covering buildings, utilities areas, warehouses, offices, external premises, and surrounding environments.
. Ensure pest control measures are integrated with facilities maintenance activities such as building repairs, sealing, drainage, waste areas, and structural modifications.
. Coordinate with external pest control service providers, define scopes of work, monitor performance, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
. Conduct routine inspections, trend analysis, and maintain pest control documentation for audits, regulatory compliance, and internal reviews.
. Work with EHS and operations teams to ensure pest control practices align with hygiene, safety, and regulatory expectations (e.g. GMP where applicable).
Vendor & Contractor Management
. Manage external facilities and pest control service providers, including maintenance contractors.
. Define service level agreements (SLAs), monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with site rules and safety requirements.
. Review contractor work quality and close out deficiencies.
Utilities & Energy Management
. Coordinate utilities supply and usage (electricity, water, gas, compressed air, etc.).
. Monitor utility consumption, identify efficiency improvement opportunities, and support cost reduction initiatives.
. Support sustainability and energy saving programs related to facilities operations.
Security & Systems Coordination
. Coordinate facilities support for security infrastructure, CCTV rooms, and Lift service.
. Work with Security and IT teams on facilities requirements for system installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Safety, Compliance & Coordination
. Ensure facilities and pest control activities comply with applicable building codes, local regulations, and company standards.
. Coordinate with EHS on facilities related safety matters, inspections, and corrective actions.
. Support emergency preparedness and response from a facilities perspective (e.g. power failure, fire protection systems readiness).
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
. Maintain facilities and pest control SOPs, maintenance records, inspection reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
. Participate in internal and external audits related to facilities and hygiene.
. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facilities reliability, cleanliness, pest prevention, and user satisfaction.
Other Duties
. Perform any other facilities & Utilities related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Environmental Science, or a related field.
. 2-5 years of experience in facilities management, with hands on responsibility for pest control programs.
. Experience in manufacturing, GMP, or regulated environments is an advantage.
. Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, maintenance practices, and facilities hygiene controls.
. Experience managing pest control and facilities service vendors.
. Good understanding of local building, safety, and facilities related regulations.
. Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
