Senior Executive, Technical Accounting - Treaty Client Services

Responsibilities

• Perform intricate treaty technical accounting functions, including adjustment calculations for treaty contracts. Address data discrepancies between system information and contract wording, ensuring accuracy. Respond to queries from the processing team and external stakeholders regarding invoice processing and calculations. Prepare and maintain working sheets for data entry, facilitating accurate invoice and statement issuance. Assist in drafting and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for non-advocacy processes. Identify issues in processes and propose enhancements to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy. Support technical training delivery for onshore and offshore teams, encompassing processes and system usage. Act as a primary technical contact for offshore colleagues on complex processes, providing clear guidance. Monitor work quality and timeliness within the offshore team, addressing any arising issues collaboratively. Collaborate with various internal teams to promote accuracy in technical accounting and ensure seamless processes. Keep stakeholders informed about work progress, issues, and potential risks. Foster a strong collaborative culture within the team and across functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in treaty reinsurance technical accounting. In-depth knowledge of treaty reinsurance contracts and associated operational processes, including technical premium calculations. Familiarity with reinsurance technical accounting systems or a strong willingness to become a subject matter expert. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Strong documentation skills to clearly articulate processes while adhering to SOPs. Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts succinctly. Team-oriented collaboration style with a commitment to resolving issues. Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling data and reconciliations.
