Job Description
Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Securities Operations
Manage end-to-end post-trade operations across various securities products, including trade settlement, corporate actions, reconciliations and issue resolution. Support projects, UAT and process improvements while collaborating with key stakeholders and leveraging technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
What you will do:
- Process a broad range of securities transactions, including equities, bonds, structured notes, unit trusts or mutual funds, listed options, securities transfers, and equity accumulator or decumulator products.
- Process structured notes and equity accumulator or decumulator fixing and corporate action events accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Investigate cash and securities reconciliation breaks, escalate unidentified items promptly, and work with relevant parties towards timely resolution.
- Monitor settlements, follow up with custodians and counterparties on failed or unmatched trades, and escalate long-outstanding items.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures when processes change.
- Participate in projects and User Acceptance Testing, complete test cases on time, and report defects or issues clearly.
- Prepare operational statistics and reports accurately and on schedule.
- Support audit reviews and process improvement initiatives to strengthen productivity, controls and operational risk management.
- Keen interest in leveraging technology, automation, coding, data analytics, or AI to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Accountancy, or relevant working experience in Private Banking and/or Wealth Management operations.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management or securities operations.
- Working knowledge of Private Banking securities products and hands-on experience in settlement or transaction processing.
- Good understanding of applicable policies and regulations, including requirements relating to client confirmations under the Securities and Futures Act.
- Meticulous and numerate, with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a high-volume environment.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity and ethical standards.
