This is a commercial business development role where you get a chance to work with distributor partners and grow the business across markets. You may be required to travel and stay overseas for a prolonged period of time as per need basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1.Supply Quality Management
- Ensure timely feedback from the warehouse team and supplier for any non-conformance or quality deficiency for the supplied items.
- Periodically review supplier quality programs, monitor supplier performance and issue CPAR to suppliers for any non-conformance in raw materials.
- Analyze supplier monitoring performance metric and driving supplier performance improvement.
- Prepare documentation on supplier performance, conduct raw material inspection data analysis as part of reporting to Quality Manager, include the improvement action that Supplier has taken.
- Perform audit to existing or new supplier for existing or new ingredients.
- Review and verified identified root cause and planned corrective actions by external parties, including supplier, vendor, service provider in CPAR.
- Organize monthly supplier meetings, issue, review, monitor external CPAR and supplier performance monitoring and supplier quality improvements.
- Liaise with relevant departments e.g. supply chain and R&D department on new suppliers on-boarding process and existing suppliers for any changes as well as continual improvement initiatives.
2.Support on Daily Operation
- Align with company policy to ensure good quality and safe products are produced throughout production.
- To train and supervise QC inspector on-job training to ensure food safety and quality competency as well as worker safety.
- To support daily factory operation, trials and perform daily inspection tasks according to BRCGS, SMETA 4-pillars, FDA standards, HACCP & GMP requirements and relevant regulatory requirements to ensure compliances.
- To establish SOP for QC inspector to accommodate the Quality requirements in production area and get a review and approval from QA manager
- Conduct daily meetings to QC team on the duty roster, inspection procedures, fulfilment of inspection record
- Report to QA manager regarding overall Quality performances which include good documentation, good manufacturing practice and good hygiene practice in the plant.
- Issue CAPA to relevant departments on any non-conformance identified, review and monitor CPAR closure and effectiveness.
- Review and maintain all CCP's and OPRP programs are updated and comply with FSQA requirements.
- Support daily laboratory operation and QC lab consumables are properly stocked for daily operations
- To undertake the other relevant tasks, which are assigned by the QA manager.
Our dream candidates:
- Minimum requirement degree in food science or food technology. Preferably candidates with minimum 5 years working experience in supplier quality management and operation in the FMCG industry. Good HALAL quality management system understanding will be an advantage.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively with other departments, different levels of people and multiple suppliers.
- Experienced in leading a group of QC team to ensure daily inspections are carried out in respective areas in the factory according to Manual & procedures of BRCGS, SMETA 4-pillars, FDA, HACCP standard and GMP requirements and others food safety standards.
- Good understanding and working experience in root cause analysis on deviation and non-conformances handling and good problem-solving skills with use of QC tools.
- Experience in developing SOP, work instructions, checklist, forms, and records and FSQA related testing.
- Able to work under minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
