Job Description

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation, seeks an organised, proactive and resourceful individual with a passion for arts and talent development.

For NAFA to stand at the forefront of arts education and practice, the Special Projects Unit (SPU) supports the community in regularly undertaking special projects to develop our people and connect us to the global arts and design community.

In this crucial role, you will support in nurturing creative talent and supporting transformative initiatives, in order to connect our community to a network of global arts institutions as well as to allow our Academy's talents to be exposed to a myriad of opportunities in the arts and design sectors.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will be tasked support the administration and delivery of the National Talent Development Programme (NTDP) and other special projects. Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support, coordinating programme activities, and assisting with scheduling interviews, meetings, and related engagements to ensure the smooth and timely execution of initiatives.

You will work closely with internal offices, schools, mentors, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective coordination and communication across all programme activities. In addition, you will be responsible for managing programme-related documentation, records, and disbursement processes with a high level of accuracy and compliance, while maintaining proper filing in accordance with established SPU procedures.

Additionally, you will also support the broader objectives of the unit by taking on additional duties as assigned by the Head (SPU) and Head (PPO), contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations and successful delivery of SPU programmes and initiatives.

Requirements

1. You should minimally possess a Diploma or Degree in a related discipline, along with relevant professional experience.

- For Diploma holders, a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required for the Executive Officer (EO) level, and 8 years of relevant experience for the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) level.

- For Degree holders, candidates without experience who are eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic environment are also welcome to apply for the Executive Officer (EO) level, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) level.

2. To excel in this role, you should be proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative to drive outcomes independently.

3. Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills are essential to manage multiple priorities effectively.

4. Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.

5. A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confidence in stakeholder engagement, and a genuine passion for working with youth is an added advantage.
