Job Description

Who we are

Pioneering workers rights since 1961, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) unites 59 trade unions, seven trade associations, 12 social enterprises, and other enterprise partners as we create better lives for workers here in Singapore. Our work cuts across the different ages and stages of life as we walk the ground and respond to everyday needs. Through initiatives that protect our workers at work, transform careers, manage the cost of living, help with financial resilience and health, and nurture relationships for families, we champion every worker through every touch point as we work towards better wages, welfare, and work prospects. Because Every Worker Matters.

As the champion for labour movement (LM), NTUC-ARU is clear that our success is highly dependent on us having the right talent to advance our LM cause. We are constantly looking at effective ways to better manage our workforce given the economic volatility and ever-changing workforce landscape.

As part of the Strategic Engagement team, you will cultivate advocates for the LM narrative, with a focus on the youth. This requires continuous, innovative efforts to develop a network to support the Workers Compact. The team's work will contribute to policymaking and provide operational finetuning that will have direct, positive impact on the nation's workforce.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivating relations with new advocates, including micro/nano influencers, content partners and youth groups, to listen and understand concerns and evolving needs
  • Collaborating with other teams within NTUC-ARU to build and strengthen communities of stakeholders primarily through face-to-face engagement
  • Supporting strategy and execution of content partner and influencer led campaigns to advance key Labour Movement messaging and narratives
  • Supporting content delivery and execution on social channels

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic engagement involving diverse partners.
  • Background in social media engagement work, with access to a network of personalities and/or groups, and demonstrated ability to grow the network.
  • Good communication skills and partnership development skills, with the ability to engage external advocates across all levels.
  • Have some level of experience in social content creation, strategy, delivery and execution
  • Possess the drive to innovate and do things differently and better.
  • Passion to serve in a cause-driven organization.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
