Job Description

As a key member of the HR team, you will play an essential role in supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) by managing a range of HR matters within the designated business unit(s). The successful candidate may have a focus in supporting HR operations under either the faculty or research portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations Support

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide advisory support on HR policies and procedures

  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and HR administrative processes for faculty and research staff

  • Manage administrative processes for contract renewals in coordination with stakeholders

  • Ensure accuracy of HR data and support preparation of reports for decision-making

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and institutional policies

2. Recruitment Administration

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes for full-time and contingent roles

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR Shared Services to ensure timely hiring

  • Liaise with external recruitment agencies and manage vendor coordination

3. Performance Management

  • Assist HRBPs during performance management cycles by tracking timelines and consolidating data

  • Guide People Managers on performance tools and practices

  • Ensure smooth execution of appraisal processes across designated business unit(s)

4. HR Projects & Engagement

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Centres of Excellence on HR initiatives, including policy reviews and process improvements

Requirements

  • Degree with at least 3 years of experience in human resources administration field. Candidates with prior experience of working in an educational / academic/ research environment would have an added advantage

  • Highly attentive to details, possess the ability to multi-task and to manage deliverables under tight timelines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving HR needs

  • Proactive in resolving conflicts, answering queries, and addressing challenges faced by employees in a dynamic academic setting.

  • Candidates with prior experience in using Workday system would have an advantage
