Purpose & Scope

The Senior Executive, Group Strategy & Project supports the Group CEO Office in driving strategic initiatives, business planning, and cross-functional projects that advance Sembcorp's enterprise priorities. The role provides research, analysis, coordination, and project management support across key Group-level workstreams, helping to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensuring timely follow-through with internal stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of Group-level strategic initiatives and special projects
• Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market developments, competitors, and business opportunities to support management discussions and decision-making.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials, reports, briefing papers, and management updates for senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal business units and corporate functions to gather inputs, track progress, and consolidate information for strategic projects.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks, and follow-up actions to ensure effective execution and timely closure of assigned workstreams.
• Support the development of business cases, investment theses, strategic options, and recommendations by synthesising data and stakeholder inputs.
• Assist in organising meetings, workshops, and discussions with internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of agendas, notes, and action trackers.
• Maintain awareness of key business priorities across the Group and identify relevant insights that may inform strategic planning and project execution.
• Apply AI tools where appropriate to improve research, reporting, project tracking and workflow efficiency
• Provide general support to the Group Strategy & Project team on ad hoc assignments and cross-functional initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, engineering, or a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in strategy, project management, business planning, consulting, corporate functions or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels and handling cross-functional projects
• Demonstrated AI literacy and a proactive mindset to use AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent) to improve productivity, analysis, reporting and work processes
• Excellent critical thinking, time-management & organization skills
