Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Finance, your responsibilities include:

  1. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries for accruals and adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations and management reports.
  2. Support the day-to-day Financial Operations activities, including the Billings and Collections, Accounts Payable and Staff Claims (Non-HR) functions, while partnering with departments to provide sound financial advice with an end-to-end view of finance processes.
  3. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statistics and returns for management, government agencies and other stakeholders etc.
  4. Maintain grant expenditure records and monitoring grant budget utilisation.
  5. Support the development of dashboards and data visualisations that translate financial data into meaningful insights for management reporting and strategic decision-making.
  6. Liaise with internal and external auditors, coordinate audit requests and support the timely resolution of audit queries and findings.
  7. Perform ad-hoc finance-related duties and projects as assigned.

Are you the one Please write to us if you have/are:

  1. Relevant background in Accounting, Finance or equivalent with preferably 2-5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
  2. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience in financial operations,closing and reporting.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with dashboard or data visualization tools. Handson experience with WorkDay system would be an advantage.
  4. The energy, curiosity and ambition to make a difference in an innovation agency.
  5. A proactive and resilient mindset, with the confidence to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders of varying seniority.
  6. Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  7. Meticulous, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to accuracy and timelines.
