Key Responsibilities:
Monthly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with SFRS, IFRS, and Group Accounting Policies.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform and monitor variance analysis.
- Review work performed by outsourced vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure accounts receivable and payments are properly supported with adequate documentation and comply with SOPs and Financial Authority Limits.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient liquidity is maintained.
Quarterly/Biannually/Annually
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns.
- Support biannual forecasting and budgeting exercises, including preparation of templates.
- Prepare tax computations and filings, including ECI and annual corporate income tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
Others
- Liaise with external auditors.
- Partner with business units on operational and finance-related matters.
Success Factors
- Ensure timely closing and submission of monthly accounts with management schedule.
- Ensure accounts are prepared in accordance to SFRs, IFRs, Group Accounting policy, Company Tax Act, GST Act.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, SOPs, Financial Authority Limit
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the real estate or property industry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, IFCA) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
