Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive set of accounts and ensure timely monthly reporting. Prepare and process general ledger journal entries, ensuring proper recognition of accruals and provisions by cut-off deadlines. Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis between budgeted and actual results. Oversee Accounts Payable Officers, ensuring timely discharge of duties and proper handling of invoices and payments. Supervise Accounts Receivable Officers, ensuring correct billing, timely collection of receivables, and monitoring of debtor ageing. Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns and conduct monthly income tax computations. Manage operating cash flows, including fixed deposits and loan compliance documentation. Oversee property tax schedules and ensure timely recovery from tenants. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, uploading annual budgets into accounting systems and monitoring actual spending against budgets. Collaborate with stakeholders to support the execution of functional initiatives in alignment with business priorities. Assist in audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accountancy or ACCA Level 2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant GL experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in managing a small team. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Experience in the real estate sector is a plus.
