Job Description

Job Title: Senior Executive, Finance

Reporting to: Finance Manager

A. Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Executive, Finance to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing income and expenditure, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting processes, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies.

This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial management, compliance with statutory requirements and smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

B. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and staff expense claims
  • Support month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Respond and resolve queries relating to donations and payments
  • Support fundraising colleagues with donation database reconciliation
  • Work closely with HR for timely and accurate payroll submission
  • Handle statutory tax compliance matters and liaise with relevant authorities
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks and authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Perform periodic financial analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements
  • Assist in the preparation and planning of organisational budgets
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of financial policies and processes
  • Provide general administrative and management support
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned

C. Requirements

  • Degree in Commerce or Accountancy, Diploma in Accounting or other relevant accounting qualifications
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience preferably handling full set of accounts
  • Experience in the social service sector and/or knowledge of local statutory and charity accounting requirements will be an advantage
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and financial processes
  • Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently with a positive attitude
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks will be an added advantage
