Overview
The Senior Executive / Executive, Venue Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, maintenance coordination, event support, and customer experience delivery within OCBC Arena and associated sports facilities. The role ensures facilities are operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organisational standards while supporting venue bookings, events, programmes, and stakeholder requirements.
The incumbent will work closely with internal departments, contractors, event organisers, tenants, and government agencies to ensure seamless venue operations and a positive customer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Venue Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee daily operations of OCBC Arena and associated sports facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance works with appointed contractors and service providers.
- Monitor venue conditions and ensure operational readiness for programmes, training activities, and events.
- Investigate and follow up on operational issues, defects, incidents, and customer feedback.
Event & Programme Support
- Support planning and operational delivery of sporting events, community programmes, and commercial activities.
- Coordinate venue setups, logistics requirements, and event operations.
- Liaise with event organisers, tenants, National Sports Associations (NSAs), and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with venue operational procedures, safety regulations, and event requirements.
- Support venue conversions and reinstatement works before and after events.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
- Manage customer enquiries and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders and users of the facility.
- Coordinate operational requirements with internal departments such as Customer Experience, Security, Facilities Management, Finance, and Commercial teams.
- Support initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and improve venue user experience.
Administration & Compliance
- Prepare operational reports, incident reports, and performance tracking documents.
- Maintain venue records, SOPs, risk assessments, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, fire safety regulations, and organisational policies.
- Assist in procurement processes, contract administration, and budget monitoring where required.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Participate in projects involving facility enhancements, equipment replacement, technology implementation, and process improvements.
- Support implementation of new operational initiatives and organisational objectives.
Qualifications
- ITE/Diploma/Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university is preferred but not essential.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in venue operations, facility management, event operations, sports facilities, hospitality, property management, or related industries.
- Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification preferred.
- Fire Safety or Emergency Response training will be advantageous.
- First Aid certification will be an added advantage
