Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop engineering solutions propose modifications and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure the effectiveness and safety of implemented solutions. Identify and consolidate engineering standards for mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct certification of maintenance capabilities in mechanical, electrical, and electronic workshops per established workshop certification procedures. Develop comprehensive work instructions, test parameters, testers, and test benches to enhance repair and overhaul capabilities. Identify and evaluate alternate parts and out-of-manual repairs to facilitate obsolescence management for existing train assets. Conduct defect investigations to determine root causes, including fault tree analysis and forensic investigations. Review project design specifications for adequacy in safety, reliability, maintainability, and operability in support of relevant projects. Work within any Maintenance Depots or facilities while adhering to all safety requirements, including the ability to work in rotating or fixed shifts as per guidelines. Advance data analytics and condition monitoring capabilities, transitioning from preventive to predictive maintenance methodologies. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated proficiency in dashboard creation using PowerBI or similar software. Previous experience in railway systems is a plus. Proficient in programming with Python or similar languages is advantageous. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a hands-on workshop environment alongside engineers and technical officers. Familiarity with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods, including FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis, and Damage Tolerance Analysis.
