We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer with strong expertise in geotechnical design, assessment, coordination, and site inspection for infrastructure projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of airfield pavements, ground improvement techniques, and geotechnical instrumentation, with a solid foundation in civil and structural design.
Responsibilities
- Undertake geotechnical design, analysis, and assessment for ground improvement works, foundations, excavations, slopes, instrumentation, and site investigations.
- Develop and review airfield pavement designs, ensuring compliance with ICAO and FAA requirements.
- Plan, design, supervise, and coordinate geotechnical, civil engineering, infrastructural, and airfield pavement works, both in design and on-site execution.
- Ensure all engineering works adhere to statutory standards, regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Assist the Team Leader in upholding high-quality standards in design and supervision, while providing guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering with a focus/minor in Pavement Engineering, or equivalent qualification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
- Minimum of 5 years design experience in geotechnical and pavement engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical design in accordance with Eurocodes.
- Proficient in geotechnical design software such as Plaxis 2D/3D, GeoStudio, and TEDDS.
- Experienced in airfield pavement design software and methodologies.
- Familiar with authority submission requirements and project management processes for civil and infrastructure projects in Singapore.
- Exposure to ground improvement methods, pavement engineering, and civil/structural design will be advantageous.
