Build the partnerships that shape the future of growth for Lockton in Asia.

We are looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused leader to take ownership of business development and strategic partnerships across Asia. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of growth strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and team leadership.

You will play a pivotal role in expanding emerging risk and affinity-based business across the region, working closely with insurers, brokers, ecosystem partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable, scalable growth.

The Role

Reporting into regional leadership, this role combines market expansion, partnership strategy, and team leadership. You will design and execute go-to-market strategies, build high-value partnerships, and develop a high-performing team that delivers results across multiple Asian markets.

This position is well suited to a senior business development professional ready to step into a regional leadership role with strong visibility and long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Develop and deliver a structured go-to-market strategy for emerging risk and affinity-led solutions across Asia
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise growth opportunities through market research and data-led insights
  • Define and refine onboarding processes for new clients and insurer partners to ensure a seamless experience
  • Create scalable workflows that support efficient client integration and long-term engagement
  • Produce compelling sales and marketing materials to support business development activity
  • Lead targeted marketing initiatives to strengthen engagement with prospective clients and insurer partners
  • Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

Build and expand a regional network of broker partners and ecosystem stakeholders

  • Negotiate and formalise partnership agreements that create shared value and long-term collaboration
  • Design and implement technology and platform capabilities that support affinity programmes
  • Partner closely with technology and operations teams to ensure platforms meet commercial and operational needs

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing business development team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusion
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to support capability building and career progression
  • Champion diversity and inclusive leadership practices across the team

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership within insurance, financial services, or a related industry
  • Strong track record of building and managing strategic partnerships across multiple markets
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a regional or matrix environment
  • Solid commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including insurers, brokers, and ecosystem partners
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience working across cultures in Asia

Preferred or Advantageous Experience

  • Exposure to affinity programmes, emerging risks, or platform-enabled insurance solutions
  • Experience working across Singapore, Hong Kong, or wider Asia-Pacific markets
  • Familiarity with technology-enabled distribution or digital platforms
  • Background in scaling new propositions or launching products in growth markets
