Job Description

Volunteer Management Executive / Assistant Manager

The person will be part of the Volunteer and Community Engagement team in Care Corner, supporting the delivery of the Appropriate Adult Scheme for Young Suspects (AAYS) Programme and organisation-wide volunteer programmes. The role focuses on volunteer training, management and operational coordination to ensure effective programme delivery and positive volunteer experiences.

Volunteer Management, Development & Engagement

  • Work with the AAYS team to recruit, retain, manage and develop volunteers in accordance with Care Corner's Volunteer Management Framework.
  • Plan, develop and oversee training engagements for the Appropriate Adult Scheme for Young Suspects (AAYS) and organisation-wide volunteer programmes.
  • Work with Volunteer Programme Managers and Community Engagement teams to conduct training needs assessments, and to develop and deliver training content that ensures relevance, quality and effective learning outcomes.
  • Conduct volunteer and staff trainings and support internal capability-building in Volunteer Management
  • Ensure timely preparation of training logistics and communications, including liaison with relevant stakeholders, invitations, venue bookings, refreshments and training materials.
  • Coordinate with community partners offering training-related resources (e.g. Red Cross Training Academy, CSR partners, Service Points) to facilitate volunteer training opportunities.
  • Maintain and enhance training materials and resources to ensure alignment with organisational standards, quality and relevance.

AAYS Programme Management & System Development

  • Work with the AAYS Programme Manager to strategies, review and implement programme and process improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness, volunteer experience and programme outcomes.
  • Support the end-to-end implementation of the AAYS programme, including coordination and support for Appropriate Adult (AA) activations when required.
  • Work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders on AAYS operational and training matters.
  • Liaise with IT Services to oversee the operation of the Call Activation System (CAS) App, WordPress and the Volunteer & Partners Relationship Management System (VPRMS) on Salesforce, ensuring system alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure onboarding of all AAYS volunteers onto the CAS App, and develop relevant training materials and guides for stakeholders.
  • Work with AAYS team members and relevant platforms to manage volunteer data, troubleshoot system issues and respond to volunteer data-related enquiries.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of AA volunteer data in VPRMS, ensuring data processes and system automations function effectively.

Requirement:

  • Should have a degree and some experience / exposure to Volunteer management or volunteering assignments a plus. Can consider Diploma holder with relevant background.
  • Ability to function as an effective individual contributor and team player. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and evenings/weekend as required as required for events/activities.
  • 1-3 years of experience in learning and development, training and facilitation.
  • Should have experience in managing volunteers or have experience in personal capacity as a volunteer for charities or non-profit organisations.
  • Strong facilitation, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Be an effective conduit of information between all relevant working parties
  • Comfortable working with systems & data and able to troubleshoot operational issues
