[What you will be working on]

The Library, under the Department of Academic Quality & Resources (AQR), plays a critical role in pioneering digital transformation, the adoption of digital learning tools, and deep alignment with academic courses.

We are looking for an innovative, tech-enabled, and collaborative individual to join the Curation & Research (C&R) team as a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Librarian (Digital Innovation & Academic Support).

This role focuses on our developmental efforts. The incumbent will work on translating library collections and external digital platforms into practical learning activities, testing technical pipelines, and collaborating with school and course teams on pilot projects. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate the strategic capability to assist the Section Head / Manager in technology roadmapping, project governance, and inter-departmental initiatives.

Reporting to the Manager (Curation & Research), your portfolio comprises:

1. Collection Exploration, Pilots & Learning Support

• Mobilize and deep-dive into subscribed library digital collections, exploring platforms and identifying concrete use cases (e.g., LinkedIn Learning simulation/roleplay modules, digital lab assets, interactive learning media) that address teaching and learning challenges.
• Partner with school and course teams to design, deploy, and evaluate targeted classroom and module pilot projects.
• Document validated pilot frameworks into standardized use-case catalogs and practical guidelines, enabling frontline liaison staff to seamlessly share these solutions across polytechnic courses.
• Support the testing and refinement of course analysis tools (e.g., module metadata extractors) and technical pipelines (such as API connectors, MCP agents, and Learning Tools Interoperability/LTI) that embed library content directly into the institution's broader digital ecosystems.

2. Strategic Project Governance & Section Innovation

• Assist the Manager in monitoring project milestones, pilot evaluation metrics, and developmental deliverables against institutional strategic priorities (including AI & Data adoption, process automation, and cross-departmental collaboration).
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination across sections, drafting briefing notes, project updates, and management reports for cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist in establishing knowledge-transfer sessions and capability-building workshops to train library colleagues on validated digital tools, emerging AI prompts, and automated workflows.
• Participate in departmental project reviews, technical problem-solving, and rostered library operational duties as required.

[What we are looking for]

Qualifications:

A recognized Degree in Information Technology, Information Studies, Instructional Design, Data Analytics, Business, or related multidisciplinary fields.

Experience & Portfolio Requirement:

• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in digital learning support, academic libraries, instructional design, digital resource curation, or innovation project management.
• Evidential Work: Applicants are highly encouraged to include a portfolio or evidential examples of past work demonstrating how they can contribute to the team's mission. This could include examples of executed digital projects, stakeholder engagement, workflow automation, or project management frameworks.
• Proven experience in executing pilot projects, liaising with academic faculty, or integrating digital platforms with classroom delivery.

Skills & Competencies:

• Course Alignment & Technology Translation: Strong understanding of course structures, learning outcomes, and digital instructional tools, with the ability to translate technical features into practical learning activities for students.
• Digital & Technical Agility: Familiarity with digital learning platforms, educational APIs/LTI standards, low-code automation tools, or data handling techniques (e.g., Python, Sheets/Excel data pipelines, AI prompt engineering).
• Project Management & Strategic Support: Structured, methodical, and outcome-oriented, with the potential to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects and assist management in tracking developmental deliverables.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication: Persuasive communicator adept at presenting to school and course teams, academic leaders, and technical teams.
• Collaborative Mindset: Enthusiastic about capability sharing and building sustainable workflows for team-wide adoption.

This appointment is offered on a 1-year contract basis in the first instance, with opportunities for renewal or conversion to permanent appointment subject to individual performance and institutional requirements.
