Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, IT Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions across the organisation.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors to understand business objectives, analyse requirements, improve processes and translate business needs into clear and actionable functional and system requirements.

You will be involved throughout the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle — from requirements discovery and solution evaluation to development, testing, implementation and post-go-live review.

The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, good technology awareness, and the ability to translate between business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational challenges and technology requirements.
• Lead requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and other relevant documentation.
• Analyse current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and digitalisation.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including prioritisation, traceability, change impact assessment and stakeholder sign-off.
• Act as the key liaison between business users, IT teams, developers, solution architects and external vendors.
• Understand system architecture, integrations, APIs and data flows sufficiently to facilitate discussions between business and technical teams.
• Work with technical teams and vendors to evaluate solution options and ensure proposed solutions meet business and operational requirements.
• Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, regression and end-to-end integration testing.
• Develop/review test scenarios and acceptance criteria and validate that delivered solutions meet approved business requirements.
• Support defect management, deployment, cutover, data migration, business readiness and post-go-live activities.
• Proactively identify project risks, dependencies and requirement gaps and work with stakeholders on appropriate mitigation.
• Ensure appropriate consideration of cybersecurity, data privacy, access control, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Support vendor/product evaluation and manage requirement clarification and deliverables with external technology partners.
• Develop user documentation and conduct training or knowledge-transfer sessions where required.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior Business Analysts.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, including AI, automation, cloud and digital platforms, and identify opportunities where they can deliver business value.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Delivery or technology project delivery.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, functional specification and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of SDLC, system integrations and APIs.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, integration testing and production implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail.

Good to Have

• Experience with web applications, e-commerce, booking platforms or customer-facing digital solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, cloud platforms, SQL, Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with SaaS and third-party system integrations.
• Experience in hospitality, hotel, travel or aviation technology.
• Exposure to hotel technology such as PMS, CRS, booking platforms, POS or other hospitality systems.
• PMP/PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, AWS/Azure or equivalent certifications.
