Roles and Responsibilities
1. GVO (Neptune) - New MCM Desk
Marine Operations Cost Management
(i) End-to-end PSO Process Review
- Revisit and review all PSO processes across:
- Upstream: Procurement
- Midstream: Operations
- Downstream: Accounts Payable (AP) - Scope covers GVO and Project Neptune.
(ii) Process Alignment & Standardisation
- Engage with RHQ and Country Offices to understand current (as-is) processes.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies, and propose enhanced (to-be) processes.
- Drive process standardisation and data management improvements to improve cost visibility and transparency.
(iii) Cost-Saving Enablement
- Encourage and support PSO cost-saving initiatives across RHQ and Country Offices through insights generated from the project.
2. Project Neptune - PMO Role
- Drive cost management efforts in collaboration with GHQ P&N SMEs and RHQ/Country Offices.
- Provide Neptune Gemba facilitation support.
- Facilitate and coordinate Neptune cost-saving initiatives.
- Support and enable Neptune DX (Digital Transformation) initiatives.
Requirements
Degree in Shipping or Maritime Logistics
3+ years experience in a container shipping line
Exposure to project management (team member or coordinator)
Basic knowledge of container shipping operations, OPUS, and Looker
Experience with project-based work
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Willingness to deep-dive into processes and identify improvements
Curious and innovative mindset
