Job Overview
We are seeking an individual to spearhead the global strategy for container asset optimization. This role manages the entire second half of the equipment lifecycle including global interchange agreements, subleasing, and secondary market sales. You will be responsible for a high-value portfolio (exceeding $80M+) and will drive cost-efficiency through strategic repositioning and vendor negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global strategies for container disposal, sales, and one-way leasing to maximize recovery value.
- Source and negotiate high-level interchange and sublease contracts with international carriers and equipment providers.
- Drive performance across a decentralized global network, ensuring regional offices hit volume and revenue targets.
- Oversee the logistics of equipment off-hire and delivery, resolving complex cross-border disputes and operational bottlenecks.
- Manage substantial operating budgets and revenue streams, focusing on reducing empty repositioning costs and increasing trading margins.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or any related discipline is a plus.
- More than 4 years in maritime equipment management, container trading, or global procurement.
- A track record of drafting and securing multi-million dollar contracts with global shipping entities.
- Ability to use inventory management data to forecast demand and identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to manage a vast network of indirect reports and external stakeholders.
