Job Scope
Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects
Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying potential savings, and implementing cost-effective measures
Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions
Preparing and analysing progress reports, highlighting any deviations from the project plan
Providing expert advice and support to the project team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Collaborating with the project manager to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the construction phase
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
Excellent understanding of construction processes, cost management, and procurement procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools, such as CAD, BIM, and cost estimation applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
