Position Summary:
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, integration, and deployment of solar PV and hybrid energy storage (BESS) systems. You will collaborate with internal teams, EPC partners, and clients to ensure projects meet technical, quality, and commercial objectives. Your expertise in PV + BESS hybrid systems will enable efficient and reliable renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering, design, and technical integration of solar PV systems with battery energy storage (BESS).
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and system sizing for PV + BESS hybrid projects.
- Prepare detailed electrical, mechanical, and system design documentation for hybrid projects.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and technical teams to ensure correct installation and commissioning of PV and storage systems.
- Perform performance modeling, simulation, and optimization for hybrid solar + BESS systems.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and grid connection requirements.
- Provide technical support for project troubleshooting, commissioning, and operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge on PV and BESS integration.
- Stay up to date with renewable energy trends, technological advancements, and APAC market regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
- Hands-on experience with PV inverters, battery energy storage systems, and hybrid system design.
- Strong knowledge of grid connection, power electronics, and hybrid solar + storage system integration.
- Experience managing EPC contractors, site installation, and commissioning of utility-scale or commercial PV + BESS projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with APAC renewable energy policies and standards.
