Senior Engineer (Silicon Photonics Process)

About the Role:

Our client are seeking an experienced engineer to drive Silicon Photonics (SiPh) technology development, including Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for pluggable modules, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), and photonic interposer solutions. This role will work closely with internal R&D, module teams, customers, and external OSAT partners to develop and qualify new processes and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate 300mm Si-Photonics (SiPh) processes.
• Collaborate with internal R&D and module teams for device/process development.
• Engage with customers to align on device/process requirements and specifications.
• Work with customers and external OSAT partners on product characterization and PIC/EIC co-packaging.
• Support process development, design verification, and qualification activities.
• Apply problem-solving tools, such as DOE, FMEA, and control plans, to improve process and device performance.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical, Physics, Materials Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with SiPh R&D, process integration, or related roles in a foundry or high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years experience in SiPh technology, optical device design & characterization, or photonic IC packaging.
• Experience in foundry R&D, process integration, or module/process engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, familiar with DOE, FMEA, SPC, and control plan methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
