Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Security & Reliability to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in infrastructure engineering and security operations, who are passionate about building resilient systems and embedding security best practices. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our on-premise, cloud-native, and Kubernetes-based environments remain secure, observable, and highly available.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Service Management teams to drive operational excellence, strengthen resilience, and reduce risk across our platforms.
How you'll contribute to MyRepublic's success:
- Support the security, reliability, and operational health of infrastructure platforms and services.
- Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot system issues, and support timely resolution.
- Implement and maintain security controls, vulnerability management, and system hardening practices.
- Support cloud and Kubernetes environments from configuration, maintenance, and security improvements.
- Automate routine operational tasks and improve platform efficiency.
- Work with internal teams to strengthen service resilience, reduce risk, and improve operational readiness.
We think you'll fit in great with us if you:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, security operations, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms and container/Kubernetes environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices.
- Relevant certifications in cloud, infrastructure, security, or networking.
