Job Summary

The Platform Systems Engineer is a system‑level technical leader responsible for platform integration and execution governance across PC platforms, ensuring scalable HW/SW/ME joint‑design across product generations.

The role serves as a platform integrator and technical authority, accountable for aligning cross‑functional engineering teams and ecosystem partners to deliver robust, cost‑effective, and high‑quality platform solutions from concept through mass production and sustaining. The position drives system‑level optimization across cost, design, reliability, manufacturability, and schedule.

In addition, this role provides AI engineering leadership and governance for the platform organization, accelerate AI adoption, automation, and data‑driven workflows are applied across product portfolio. The role ensures responsible, scalable AI adoption that measurably improves engineering productivity, predictability, and system quality, while aligning with enterprise AI standards and data governance.

Key Responsibilities

System & Platform Leadership

• Define platform technical direction, architectural tradeoffs, and long‑term system strategies.

• Review and approve system designs, software architecture, and integration plans to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and compliance.

• Drive alignment and execution with ODMs, IHVs, and ecosystem partners.

AI Governance, Automation & Engineering Productivity

• Accelerate AI adoption, automation, and data‑driven engineering workflows across the platform organization to improve development velocity.

• Ensure responsible, scalable AI usage aligned with enterprise standards, data governance, and security requirements, with measurable impact to quality and productivity.

Platform Quality & Optimization

• Oversee platform development from concept through mass production and sustaining.

• Define, own system‑level quality criteria.

• Drive platform‑level cost, design, and manufacturability optimization.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 10+ years in PC, system, or platform development.

• 5+ years in a senior or principal technical leadership role.

• Proven ownership of system‑level HW/SW development and integration.

• Strong track record leading cross‑functional and cross‑company initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving AI‑enabled engineering or automation initiatives.

• Background in SW, EE, ME Engineering with strong system perspective.

• Experience working with ODM/CM development models.
