Job Summary
Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimized, compliant solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects to meet client and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design efforts and ensure timely project delivery
- Conduct detailed mechanical analysis and calculations to optimize system performance and efficiency
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and reports, to support project execution
- Ensure all mechanical designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures
- Present technical solutions and progress updates during client meetings to facilitate informed decision-making
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into mechanical designs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department to enhance processes and outcomes
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project goals effectively
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience focused on building services design
- Proven leadership in managing complex mechanical engineering projects
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Inventor, and AutoCAD
- Experience coordinating multidiscipline design teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to mechanical engineering challenges
- Effective communication and leadership skills to guide teams and engage stakeholders
- Competence in project management and budget control to ensure project success
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, collaborative environments
