Senior Engineer - Instrumentation and Control (I&C)

Duration: 2-Year Contract (Extendable / Convertible to permanent)

ROLE PURPOSE

• Lead the Extra-Low Voltage systems design on assigned large scale projects during the tender, design, procurement, construction, commissioning until finale client acceptance phase

• Design of control systems, instrumentation, cabling and cable support systems for Process equipment, Industrial Facilities and Commercial Buildings, with the support of Lead Engineer, if necessary

• Design of Life Safety System comprising of Public Address Systems, Access control, Closed Circuit, Gas Detection and Fire Alarm systems with the support of a Lead Engineer if necessary

• Design of Information Technology Cabling System, with the support of a Lead Engineer if necessary

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

.Develop P&IDs, Instruments and IO list, Sequence of Operations, Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect matrices with the support of Lead Engineer if necessary

. Develop / Execute / Expedite ELV packages during design, procurement, construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages

. Co-ordination and scheduling activities for the ELV supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates

. Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into the ELV systems design

. Technical Evaluation of vendor submission including approval of shop drawings

. Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and manage subcontractors during commissioning of the Extra Low Voltage systems

REQUIREMENTS

. Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering

. At least 8 years of experience in design and construction

. Experience in design, installation, programming, commissioning of Process and Building control systems

. Experience in design, selection, installation, commissioning of Instrumentation for Process and Building control systems

. Experience in Extra Low Voltage Systems such as Fire Alarm, Security systems, IT data network

. Experience in Advanced Technology Facilities, Life Science & Chemicals, Energy & Environment Technologies, High Tech Infrastructure, Process Automation, Products and Services

. Experience in construction management
