Senior Engineer/ Engineer, Cloud

As a DevOps Engineer (Cloud), you will be responsible for the following:

. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security and product teams to deliver new applications or modernize existing implementations through rehosting, refactoring or replatform.

. Design and implement cloud infrastructure and services, while incorporating best practices on resource planning, scalability, resiliency and system performance.

. A good understanding of production operations and constantly look for improvements on processes, governance and maintainability

. Implement effective application and cloud monitoring, defining strategies to capture events on different layers such as CDN, service, web/application, cache, database and infrastructure, and provide timely alerts with proper escalation.

. Define standard practices to guide development teams towards DevOps adoption, providing documentation and knowledge sharing whenever necessary

. Being part of an on call rotation to be able to support development teams during critical events, production incidents and other off-peak-hour activities.

Job Requirements

. Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

. Passionate about the latest cloud technologies, providing innovative solutions and solving challenging, technical problems

. Deep understanding of the DevOps culture, practices and software development methodologies

. Comfortable in communicating and working with cross functional teams

. Experience described below are optional, but preferable

. Cloud services on AWS and implementation using Infrastructure as Code

. Containerization technology

. CI/CD automation tools

. Monitoring and log consolidation such as APM

. Linux server administration and troubleshooting

. Site Reliability Engineering
