Company Overview
Edgily Technologies is a BIM, VDC and Digital Engineering consultancy specialising in Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD), IoT-enabled Digital Twin and cloud-enabled delivery for building and infrastructure projects.
They design and operate secure Azure environments and Common Data Environments (CDEs) for platforms such as Autodesk BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, Twinmotion, Fuzor and field management systems. Their solutions support digital shop drawings, fabrication/transport/installation status tracking, mobile access on site and digital twins for facility management.
Role Summary
On behalf of our client we are are looking for a Cloud Specialist to design, deploy and operate our cloud platforms that support BIM/VDC, IDD, field managementand IoT Digital Twin solutions.
This position will work closely with BIM/VDC teams and project stakeholders to provide secure, reliable and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, automation and tools for model coordination, site workflows and FM/digital twin handover
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and administer Azure environments and virtual platforms (VMs, storage, networking, identity) to host BIM and digital engineering systems such as Autodesk BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, Twinmotion, Fuzor and related services.
- Implement and maintain a cloud-hosted CDE for models, drawings and documents, supporting multi-stakeholder collaboration (consultants, contractors, clients) with proper access control, versioning and audit trails.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and automation scripts PowerShell or Python for standardised deployments, backups, monitoring, patching and cost optimisation.
- Develop APIs, automation scripts and custom plugins (primarily using Python) for Autodesk products such as Revit and Navisworks, to streamline modelling, data extraction, clash processing, reporting and integration with other systems.
- Support visualisation and communication of models on site, including mobile access to 3D/4D models and drawings, and the use of field management platforms that combine mobile technology with cloud-based collaboration and reporting.
- Set up and support digital shop drawing workflows and status tracking for fabrication, transport and installation, ensuring that progress data is captured and visible through dashboards and reports.
- Contribute to IoT-enabled Digital Twin and facility management solutions by preparing cloud environments, data structures and integration points for sensor telemetry, asset information and FM platforms.
- Set up and run Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), pilots and demonstrations for new cloud, BIM/VDC, IDD or digital twin solutions and document outcomes and recommendations.
- Work with BIM Managers, project managers and external stakeholders to ensure that cloud platforms, mobile/field tools and CDE workflows meet project requirements in terms of availability, performance, security and information quality.
