Job Summary
Lead the design and implementation of advanced electrical distribution systems, managing projects and mentoring engineers to deliver innovative, efficient, and compliant electrical engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced electrical distribution systems for low and high voltage applications to ensure reliable power delivery
- Develop and review technical documents including design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams to support project accuracy
- Perform equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, cables, and electrical components to meet system requirements
- Use system studies software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, Amtech) to model electrical systems and conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection relay setting studies for system safety and performance
- Oversee project teams and mentor junior engineers to foster innovation and continuous professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals within schedule and budget constraints
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations to implement best practices in electrical engineering projects
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and ensure system reliability
- Contribute to developing company standards and procedures to enhance electrical engineering project quality and consistency
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering focusing on power systems and distribution
- Proven expertise in designing low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
- Proficiency in system studies software such as ETAP, SKM, or Amtech
- Experience with CAD software for electrical design and drafting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Leadership abilities and project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
