The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.
We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore's built environment.
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the team that administers the Building Control Act and Regulations to ensure Safe Design and Construction in the Built Environment Sector.
Responsibilities
- Processing and approving the structural plans and calculations of the buildings submitted by Professional Engineers and Accredited Checkers.
- Performing audit checks on selected structures, conducting construction site checks and taking proactive actions to prevent damage to adjacent properties.
- Investigation into reports on building works / buildings that are dangerous and assess their structural integrity and safety.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams involving internal and external stakeholders in development of policies and technical guides.
[What we are looking for]
- A degree in civil and structural engineering.
- At least 4 years of working experience in structural design and analysis of buildings or infrastructures.
- Preferably a registered professional engineer with Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore; or at least have passed the Practice of Professional Engineering Examination (PPE) administered by PEB.
Successful candidates will be offered contract employment.
