Senior Electrical Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical systems for industrial equipment, including schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and control architecture.

• Select PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, sensors, motors, safety devices and industrial communication networks.

• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and machine safety requirements, including CE, UL and IEC.

• Lead electrical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, FAT, SAT and commissioning support.

• Work with customers to propose equipment upgrades, retrofit solutions and modernisation plans.

• Improve equipment performance, reliability, safety and cost-effectiveness through design reviews and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in custom automation or capital equipment, including project leadership and equipment upgrades.

• Customer-facing experience in technical sales support or solution engineering.

• Proficiency in electrical CAD SolidWorks Electrical is highly preferred.

• Ability to optimise designs for cost and manufacturability.

• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
