Responsibilities

The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. This position supports risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and the delivery of EHS training. The EHS professional actively contributes to a culture of safety by promoting best practices and ensuring environmental compliance, including waste management and sustainability initiatives. specific when describing each of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Workplace Safety & Health, or a related field.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in EHS roles, with a strong preference for experience within chemical or process industries.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement effective EHS programs.
  • Experience in facilitating EHS training, conducting risk assessments, performing safety audits, and managing incident investigations.
  • Proven track record in monitoring and reporting EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong familiarity with key areas of environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control, and sustainability practices.
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams at various organizational levels.
