Responsibilities

• Cultivate strategic partnerships with country and regional management for efficient business information exchange. Review complex transactions, identify tax-sensitive issues, and conduct research to provide comprehensive tax position alternatives. Advise on significant income and non-income tax audits and negotiate with foreign tax authorities as required. Manage relationships with outside tax counsel and advisors for planning and audit activities. Oversee customs-related audits and litigation matters, collaborating with relevant departments. Coordinate with the Tax Accounting Department to ensure accurate tax item preparation for financial statements. Analyze and interpret foreign legislation, court decisions, and regulations to guide management actions. Supervise the tax department staff and manage external projects and advisors.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate degree in Tax and Accounting, or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of experience in international tax planning and management within major corporations or firms. Understanding of tax accounting principles and regulations, including FIN 48 and FAS 5. Proven experience in managing foreign tax audits and outside counsel. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-oriented focus. Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively, demonstrating results-oriented project management. Proficiency in advanced Excel and commitment to continuous professional development.
