The Senior Regional Markets Development Specialist is a senior position responsible for driving GGC's market growth, strategic partnerships, and revenue development across Singapore and Southeast Asia. The role combinesmarket intelligence and opportunity origination, strategic relationship management, business development and deal structuring, and team working with sales, marketing, and consulting. The position plays a strategic nexus function between strategy, technical advisory, and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
A. Regional Market Development
- Identify, develop, and prioritise new market opportunities for GGC in Southeast Asia (e.g. Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand)
- Conduct regional diagnostics on: Green finance demand, ESG and sustainability advisory needs, Public-private partnership (PPP) opportunities, Climate investment pipelines
- Design and implement country entry and expansion strategies aligned with GGC's mission and vision
B. Partnership Development
Strengthen GGC's positioning in the region as a leading green economy connector by building partnerships with:
- Financial institutions
- Family offices and impact investors
- ESG service providers
- Government agencies and innovation ecosystems
C. Business Development
Originate and structure commercial engagements, including:
- Decarbonisation Advisory projects
- Smart Cities & Solutioning
- Capacity development programmes
- Public-private partnerships
- Develop strategic relationships with Multilateral development banks (ADB, World Bank, IFC)
D. Internal Mentorship
Provide mentorship to the Sales & Marketing Team (pipeline generation, client engagement, branding) and the Consulting Team (project quality, delivery alignment with client needs).
The position will work closely with the CEO on defining the corporate strategy, market positioning, and engaging the key institutional partnerships.
E. Thought Leadership & Representation
Represent GGC in regional forums, policy dialogues, and industry events and to contribute to GGC's thought leadership on climate finance, green growth, and sustainable investment.
Academic & Professional Requirements
Essential
- Postgraduate qualifications in Economics, Public Policy, Carbon Management, Sustainability, or related fields
- Professional accreditation in finance, governance, or strategy (e.g. CPA, CFA, SID, or equivalent preferred)
Desirable
- Have deep experience in negotiation, consensus building, or strategic leadership with the public and private sector
- Policy research experience related to climate, finance, or development
