What We Need

The Senior Director, Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance is the regional authority for:

  • Critical infrastructure maintenance strategy
  • Live data center MEP upgrades, expansions, and refurbishments
  • Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and energy performance
  • Maintenance CapEx and OpEx planning and governance
  • Change Advisory Board (CAB) and incident management oversight

This role ensures our operating data centers remain resilient, efficient, and upgradeable while live, balancing operational risk, lifecycle cost, and longterm asset value.

You will provide technical leadership, governance discipline, and financial stewardship across multiple countries and report to the VP, Infrastructure Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Maintenance Strategy

  • Own regional frameworks for Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Controls, and BMS
  • Define maintenance standards, frequencies, and riskbased strategies
  • Drive alignment across uptime, compliance, and cost efficiency

Live Data Center MEP Upgrades (Key Differentiator)

  • Regional authority for livesite MEP upgrades, expansions, and replacements
  • Approve MOPs, sequencing, risk mitigation, and redundancy strategies
  • Ensure zeroimpact execution with Operations, Projects, and Vendors

Change, Incident & Operational Risk Governance

  • Executive oversight of CAB and highrisk maintenance activities
  • Escalation point for major incidents, nearmisses, and recurring failures
  • Enforce strong RCA discipline and systemic risk elimination

PUE & Energy Performance

  • Own PUE methodology, reporting, and governance
  • Lead cooling optimization, electrical loss reduction, and automation enhancements
  • Sponsor energyefficiency initiatives aligned with ESG goals

Maintenance CapEx & OpEx Ownership

  • Govern regional CapEx and OpEx for critical infrastructure assets
  • Lead lifecycle planning and refurbishment vs. replacement decisions
  • Track budgets, cost drivers, and longterm financial exposure
  • Partner with Finance and Country Ops for transparency and discipline

Asset Lifecycle & Reliability Engineering

  • Define lifecycle strategies using RCM principles
  • Make decisions informed by condition assessments, failure data, and risk analysis

Vendor & OEM Governance

  • Own regional vendor strategy for maintenance, upgrades, and OEMs
  • Govern SLAs, performance, and commercial accountability

Compliance & ESG Enablement

  • Sponsor ISO/SS 50001, Green Mark, and other certifications
  • Ensure maintenance and upgrade programs support ESG and regulatory compliance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (PE preferred)
  • Formal training in project, asset, or energy management (advantageous)

15+ years of relevant experience in:

  • Data center MEP systems
  • Live DC upgrades and expansions
  • Critical facilities operations or construction
  • Proven leadership across multisite portfolios and enterprise/colo data centers
  • Strong experience in CapEx/OpEx ownership and highrisk live environments
