Manulife Global High-Net-Worth(GHNW) is one ofthe strategicfocus areasfor growthwithin Manulife,agloballeader in theHigh-Net-Worthindividual life insurance market. The role reports to the Chief Distribution Officer, Global HNW Distribution and is a key member of the sales and distributionleadershipteam.
This individual should have familiarity with life insurance products and an excellent understanding of theHigh-Net-WorthInternational Life Insurance market and marketing concepts. Theindividualshould have the ability toidentify,developand promotesales opportunitiessupported by marketingand educational materialin addition tobuilding strong relationships with GHNW Distributorsandinternal support teams all to generategrowthfor GHNW.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensure regulatory, company and business guidelines and standards aremaintainedand adhered to.
Provideleadership andsupport todirect reports,GHNW distribution team members,andthe broader team.
Identifyopportunities for team developmentwith a focus on developingthebest-in-classBusiness Development team and Support Propositionin the local market.
Represent GHNW within the company asrequired, taking the role of a HNWsegment expert.
Motivate Distributors topromoteGHNWsolutions withpersuasive virtual and in-person presentations,developing anddesigning initiatives and providingfirst in classresponsivenessto inquiries.
Work with Distributors toidentify opportunitiesandbusiness potential for distributor growth, ensuringretention(distributors and policies),as well as address and resolve issues thatmaycover arangeof topics and could involve Underwriting, Product,New business, Policy Servicing,and otherfunctionswithin the company.
Effectively positionManulifeGHNW products within the landscape ofdirectcompetitors(andtheoverall competitive landscape), and run supporting illustrations asrequiredalong withdevelopingcompelling arguments for Manulife as the right choice.
Provide training andeducationto Distributors onManulifeGHNW products, underwriting and processesand overall value proposition.
Beconsistentlyproactive with keyinternal and externalpersonnel to build, enhance, and managerelationships.
Providedistributionsupport to the Chief Distribution Officer, Global HNW Distributionand other senior leaders(local andglobal)asrequired.
With a continuous improvementmindset,work closelywith internaldepartments (Product, Marketing, Underwriting, Legal, Case Management, Titles, Service, Compliance) to furtherdeliversales and marketing initiatives while alsoobservinghowGHNW can advance and improve operational processes and proceduresas a marketleader.
Be a key, reliable and trusted resource as well asaManulife brand ambassador to all contracted Distributors including their sales support staff, sales consultants, and senior management.
Success of the above will be measured by:
Maintaining a strong relationship withappropriateregulators
Development and retention of staff (directreportsand indirectassociates) with strong employee engagement scores andan overallwillingness togoabove andbeyondto support developmentobjectives.
Increasing the sales volumefor thejurisdictionand greater GHNWin order tomeet the specifiedobjectives.
Creating innovative and compelling marketing and sales material that help to engage distributors and their sources of businessregardingthe strengths of the Manulife GHNW proposition.
Strong partnershipsestablishedand developed with distributors leading to high engagementand loyalty, with advocacy.
Excellent engagement with internal partners within the broader Manulife organisationin order toachieve the desiredobjectivesin a cohesive and supportive manner.
Required Qualifications:
Fulltime residency in Singapore required
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry across Asia prior High Net Worth (HNW) insurance experience is a strong advantage
Demonstrated record of integrity, ethical judgment, and professional excellence
Advanced life insurance knowledge, including sophisticated case design and illustration techniques, with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
Exceptional presentation, writing, listening, and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and partners
Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to independently develop, manage, and sustain external distributor relationships while collaborating effectively within a team environment
High level of creativity and strategic thinking in developing clientcentric solutions
Ability to work flexible hours to effectively engage with distributors and internal stakeholders across multiple global time zones
Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically up to three times per year or more, as required
Strong technical proficiency, including virtual presentation tools (e.g., webinars) and the full Microsoft Office suite
