The Senior Designer Draftsman shall be in charge of developing & integrating technology and design processes across all stages of project development, from conceptual design through to construction, and possess a strong understanding of BIM principles, computational design tools, and the ability to create and implement solutions that streamline workflows and enhance project delivery.

- Lead and manage the team and appraise their performance and ensure duties are completed according to schedule.
- Maintain Drafting SOP & templates and provide recommendations for improvements on work processes.
- Responsible in managing all Drafting works for the project assigned including documentation and authority submissions.
- Manage Subcon including subcon assessment and manpower planning for the project.
- Interpret site survey data, drawings and specifications to produce and prepare technical drawings such as detailed shop drawings, fabricate drawings and as-built drawings.
- Conduct measurements on site to collect data to produce accurate drawings & specifications.
- Review and verify drawings including owner & subcontractor's drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines.
- Coordinate with the authorities, engineers, architects, consultants, vendors, main contractors, clients, subcontractors, and other engineering staff to ensure the drawings are in accordance to contract specifications and submitted timely.
- Recommend solutions or improvements to construction design based on site conditions & project requirements.
- Update and comply with the code of practice on electrical, mechanical as required.
- Monitor and inspect construction by conducting site checks to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Attend meetings with our project team, clients, and subcontractors for project related matters.
- Provide technical expertise and strong mentorship to the team, including employee development.
- Stay updated on construction regulations to ensure compliance to relevant regulatory guidelines and compliant to the Contract work scope.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years relevant hands-on experience in BIM modelling for Engineering/Construction industry, preferably with Main-Con or M&E or other engineering services company.
- Diploma or Degree in Building Drafting/Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent qualifications. Candidates without the relevant qualifications but with relevant work experience may also be considered.
- Have core competency in and good working knowledge on:
o HVAC System,
o Fire Protection System,
o Plumbing & Sanitary System
o M&E & CSA systems
- Good understanding of Drafting code for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Experienced in 2D & 3D Autocad & BIM drawings.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Able to read & understand engineering documents.
- Good organizational and meticulous in work.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and senior management staff.
- High reliability and integrity in handling confidential information.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a dedicated team player.
- Able to conduct site measurements & checks when needed.
