Job Title: Senior Design Consultant (Sales)
As a Senior Design Consultant (Sales), you will play a key role in converting qualified leads into confirmed projects and driving business growth. This role is suited for an experienced sales professional who is confident in managing client relationships, understanding renovation needs, preparing accurate project quotations, and guiding clients through the full sales journey.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of sales designer or sales experience, preferably within the interior design, renovation, or built environment industry, and possesses a strong understanding of the end-to-end renovation workflow from client consultation and space planning discussions to quotation, coordination, and handover to the design and project execution team.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Client Engagement
- Manage and convert sales leads into confirmed interior design and renovation projects
- Understand clients needs, lifestyle requirements, design preferences, budgets, and timelines
- Advise clients confidently on the company's services, renovation process, design workflow, and pricing structure
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive trust and improve conversion rates
- Lead sales consultations and coordinate follow-up discussions with the design and project team
- Support clients throughout key milestones of their renovation journey, ensuring a positive and professional experience
- Accompany clients for showroom visits, shopping trips, or material selection sessions together with the design team where required
Quotation & Project Scoping
- Prepare accurate and detailed quotations based on project scope, client requirements, site conditions, and design inputs
- Understand and explain cost components such as carpentry, masonry, electrical works, plumbing, painting, ceiling works, furnishings, and design fees
- Ensure quotations are aligned with internal pricing guidelines, margin expectations, and project feasibility
- Revise quotations efficiently based on client feedback, budget adjustments, or changes in project scope
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure quotations reflect practical project requirements and renovation realities
Project Coordination & Handover
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the end-to-end renovation workflow, from first enquiry to design development, project execution, and final handover
- Ensure smooth and accurate handover of confirmed projects to interior designers, project managers, and relevant execution teams
- Collaborate with designers and project teams to clarify project scope, expectations, and feasibility before confirmation
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and contractors where necessary to gather updated pricing or technical information
- Help ensure client expectations are aligned with project scope, timeline, and budget throughout the sales process
Sales Administration & Performance
- Track leads, consultations, follow-ups, and conversion progress using the company CRM system
- Prepare sales documents including proposals, quotations, agreements, and onboarding materials
- Monitor sales pipeline performance and provide regular reporting on leads, conversion status, and revenue projections
- Maintain clear and organized sales records to support internal coordination and business planning
Market & Industry Knowledge
- Stay updated on interior design trends, renovation materials, market pricing, and customer expectations
- Maintain strong knowledge of the company's portfolio and completed projects to support sales presentations and discussions
- Understand renovation regulations, permit considerations, and common technical requirements relevant to residential and commercial projects
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales designer, interior design sales, renovation sales, or sales/client-facing roles
- Prior experience in the interior design, renovation, fit-out, property, or related industry is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of the interior design and end-to-end renovation process, from consultation to project handover
- Proven ability to manage clients, prepare quotations, and convert leads into confirmed projects
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Confident in presenting ideas, explaining pricing, and handling client objections professionally
- Good numerical skills and ability to prepare accurate project costing and quotations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and sales opportunities simultaneously
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive in meeting sales targets
- Familiarity with CRM systems and office tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
