Your day-to-day
- Be a primary contact to the Commercial Sales Organizations for all topics regarding quoting and pricing requirements
- Apply general pricing principles, customer vertical trend, and target margins to effectively guide Sales on pricing
- Leverage CPQ and SFDC Lightning
- Responsible for in-depth review and understanding customer's account information, leveraging several data sources, including SFDC and shared folders
- Clearly communicate with Sales teams on general pricing guidance and overall transaction qualification
- Work cross-functionally with all departments that may have a direct impact on quoting requirements to ensure audit and business guidelines and expectations are followed
- Review quotes prepared by Sales teams for accuracy and meeting basic product and pricing guidelines
- Work with various teams (Sales Operations, Legal, Finance, Professional Services, Order Entry, etc.) to make sure all requirements are met
- Ensure required approvals, such as discounts and contractual terms, are obtained and clearly documented
- Be a sales advocate and partner to internal organizations to understand the details around each transaction
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams via email, phone, or online meetings
- Ensure sales requests are processed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner with strong focus during period-end deadlines
- Provide feedback and observations of where process improvements could be made
- Help complete side projects, as needed
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience working in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, functional sales support or order management teams
- Experience with software/SaaS business is an advantage
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to leverage complex data sets for justification
- General understanding of quote- to-cash operations
- Intermediate/advanced Salesforce.com and MS Excel skills are highly recommended
- Ability to work independently in fast paced environment
- Demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with internal business units
- Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and problem-solving skills
