Job Description
About Us
Founded in 1999 and listed on NASDAQ in 2003 and HKEX in 2021, Trip.com Group is a leading global travel service provider comprising of Trip.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner, and Qunar.
Across its platforms, Trip.com Group integrates travel resources from industry partners and helps travellers worldwide pursue the perfect trip with exceptional travel products and services.
We have four Customer Service Centres for Trip.com established in Japan, Korea, the UK, and the Philippines, providing 24/7 customer service in 19 different languages.
We have more than 30,000 employees scattered across 30 countries in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, striving to expand our global markets and aiming to be the world's leading and most trusted family of online travel brands that aspire to deliver the perfect trip at the best price for every traveller.
This role sits within the Group's Information Security Department, focusing on the practical implementation of data privacy compliance across our global business. Working in a flat, international and cross-border team, you will act as the central hub for cross-regional, cross-functional compliance work — independently driving complex compliance projects to delivery and advancing the standardization of our overseas privacy compliance framework.
In this Role, you'll get to
- Lead cross-jurisdiction compliance projects: independently own multi-jurisdiction personal data protection initiatives — mapping delivery paths and coordinating stakeholders, working with product and engineering teams to turn compliance requirements into implementable technical solutions, and driving execution, iteration and full-cycle delivery.
- Support regulatory response: work alongside local Legal and Government Relations teams in responding to regulatory inquiries, inspections and official notifications — delivering risk verification, impact assessment and remediation proposals from an information-security and technical perspective.
- Drive compliance incident closure: own the investigation and remediation of data security incidents, user privacy complaints and data subject requests, forming a complete risk-management loop.
- Build the global compliance framework: collaborate with overseas teams to continuously refine standardized compliance processes and governance mechanisms, strengthening the Group's global data compliance capabilities.
What you'll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in data privacy, data compliance, or information security.
- Solid knowledge of international personal data protection laws and regulations, with multi-jurisdiction compliance understanding and hands-on implementation experience.
- Proven ability to independently drive complex compliance projects: coordinating product, engineering, legal and business stakeholders to deliver solutions from planning through to live implementation — practical delivery experience, not just report output.
- Strong technical understanding: able to read business system architectures and data flows, and to align efficiently with engineering teams to break down and resolve compliance issues.
- Risk-oriented and structured thinker: able to decompose ambiguous compliance issues and prioritize by risk level, with excellent verbal and written communication.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience in overseas regulatory inspections, data security incident handling, or user privacy complaint resolution.
- Experience building compliance frameworks or cross-border compliance programmes for companies expanding internationally.
- Prior compliance experience in the internet, OTA, or tech industry.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CISSP.
- Adept at using AI tools and AI agents to optimize compliance workflows and project execution, with demonstrable efficiency gains.
