Your Impact
You will act as a technical leader and architect, owning the vision and delivery of our most cutting-edge AI and agentic systems.
You will lead technical teams, design scalable enterprise-grade data ecosystems, and manage secure environments while mentoring colleagues and advising clients. You'll tackle our most impactful challenges and grow as a strategic leader by shaping innovative AI solutions across diverse industries.
You will:
- Own technical platforms and lead the delivery of machine learning, agentic, and autonomous AI systems.
- Architect and guide teams in building robust, scalable, and reproducible data solutions for machine learning and Generative AI applications, including multi-agent systems and vector databases.
- Advise clients on the solution design of GenAI capabilities, steer the implementation of mature MLOps/LLMOps frameworks, and contribute to R&D that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in AI.
- Your work will solve some of the most complex and high-impact challenges facing clients across industries.
- Partnering with QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey and QuantumBlack Labs teams, you'll help create the innovative, enterprise-grade systems that accelerate AI adoption and solve critical business problems at speed and scale. Your strategic guidance will enable clients to not only implement but also sustain meaningful, lasting impact through cutting-edge data architecture and AI.
- Lead cross-functional Agile teams of Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and industry experts to deliver transformative AI solutions.
- Collaborating with senior client stakeholders from data owners to C-level executives, you'll design and implement impactful solutions that address their most complex business challenges.
You will be based in Singapore as part of our global Data Engineering community, and you will work in cross-functional Agile project teams alongside Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, other Data Engineers, Project Managers, and industry experts.

Your Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience, with a track record of technical leadership in data engineering or architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and driving the adoption of software engineering best practices within a team
- Deep expertise in architecting and leading the development of enterprise-grade Agentic AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence systems, including scalable agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), advanced vector search strategies, and production-ready orchestration
- Ability to lead the technical direction for AI systems across multiple teams, driving architectural decisions, implementation quality, evaluation, and reliability while advising senior stakeholders on the strategic trade-offs between model quality, latency, and cost
- Experience implementing robust data security and governance controls, including managing PII/PHI, authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Deep knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps including CI/CD for data workflows, automated agent evaluation (LangSmith, Opik, Langfuse), and infrastructure as code (Terraform) across cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to scope large-scale technical projects, define strategic roadmaps, and effectively lead and mentor data engineering teams
- Proven commercial client-facing experience, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical strategy and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience using coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s)
