Senior Data Analyst BI & Visualization Specialist

Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer who specializes in business intelligence and data visualization, with strong hands-on experience in Qlik Sense and AWS-native data platforms. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between raw data and business value-delivering insightful dashboards, reporting solutions, and efficient data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense to support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate BI/reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and manage data pipelines using AWS services (Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena) to support reporting needs.
• Design data models and curated datasets optimized for self-service analytics and visualization.
• Drive data storytelling through insightful visualization, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Implement data governance, access controls, and quality checks across the BI ecosystem.
• Optimize dashboard performance and usability for executives and business teams.
• Experience managing the Qlik Sense server environment, including installation, configuration, optimisation.
• Set up and manage security rules, access control, and user roles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboard performance, access, or data connectivity
• Support UAT, rollout, and adoption of BI solutions within the organization.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members on best practices in BI and cloud data engineering

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Qlik Sense (scripting, expressions, dashboard design).
• 3+ years of experience with AWS-native data services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3).
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles, BI design standards, and user experience.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake).
• Proven ability to work closely with business users and translate their needs into BI solutions.
• Experience implementing role-based access, metadata management, and data security controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with data cataloging tools like AWS Glue Data Catalog or Alation.
• Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or Power BI (nice to have).
• Exposure to working with Singapore Public Sector
